About the client:
The client is a multinational chemical company. They wanted to landscape for sustainable active substances for agriculture that were biobased and ideally biodegradable.
Challenge:
In this Research Support Service project, the client was interested in understanding the green chemicals space and exploring what is commercially available and close to commercially available products. These could be used in their formulations as a more environmentally friendly option.
Approach:
PreScouter researched the existing technologies based on technical and business parameters obtained from the client. The team then created a list of potential partners in order to obtain detailed insights into the selected products of interest.
Outcome:
PreScouter identified 37 relevant companies and products, from which 8 were marked as highly interesting and selected for a deeper dive (including anonymous interviews, and sample procurement).
Impact of PreScouter’s work:
The client was able to collaborate with one of the identified companies, and samples of materials that proved to be promising were obtained.
