The Nintendo Switch May Be Game Changing

By Shehwar Ali

The Nintendo Switch is a new console from Nintendo that is set to launch in March 2017. The core concept behind this new console is very simple: no confusing gamepad, no motion, no software partners and no marketing strategy- just pure creativity.

Although the future of Nintendo’s portable-only business is yet to be determined, it is no secret that Nintendo has put all its eggs in one basket- the “Switch” basket. They didn’t waste any time in showcasing their new Switch.

Rumors regarding the specifications of Nintendo’s Switch range from predictions that it may be the least powerful console from Nintendo to predictions that it might be popular enough to compete with Xbox and Playstation.

The Nintendo Switch has a Tegra based system on a chip design which is considered to be a big step over the Wii. Sony is planning to launch a much quicker console and Microsoft a much softer consoler in 2017. The Nintendo Switch may not be able to catch up with these two.

The Nintendo Switch trailer was focused on the console’s portability, which also portrays different combos for controller.  The processor that Nintendo is using is not as powerful as Xbox or PS4. Moreover, their priorities have never been inclined towards graphical capabilities, they have always been innovative like the Wii remote.

Another thing to consider is  whether the Switch will have a strong enough line-up of games because it was one of the things that brought the Wii down. There is a lot about the Nintendo Switch that we don’t know yet, but apparently, as the trailer would seem that Nintendo has learnt from its machine. And talking about the cost of it, it’s not going to be very expensive since normally they use a less expensive material as compared to their competitor.
